Intro from a returning student - 2008/09/04 13:11
Quick intro. My name is Troy and I made 5 AFF jumps there during the spring and summer of 2003. I was on recruiting duty in Columbia and QL made a dream come true with a AFF dive, which became 4 more every month. The military called me away to Iraq and I have never made it back to Sullivan to jump again. But that is changing soon. I am going to make the drive from TN (friends) and do another dive. I came off active duty in 2005, settled in Nashville TN area, then moved to 29 Palms, CA (high-desert of southern california) I am a Urban Warfare Instructor, training U.S. Marines on urban combat tactics used in Iraq and Afghanistan. So I am coming back to MO in Oct for a jump, then I will get some advice on where in Southern California has a great DZ. The "family" there at QL is awesome.
