Passing of Katrina Pearson-SEMO Skydiver - 2008/08/04 16:20
Katrina Rene Pearson
Age: 34 years
A resident of Jonesboro, IL and a former resident of Vienna, IL.
Passed away Saturday morning, August 2, 2008, at 5 AM near Goreville, IL, the result of an automobile accident.
Katrina was born February 19, 1974 in Paducah, KY. She was the daughter of Robert C. Pearson and Margaret A. (Ratliff) Pearson.
Katrina is survived by:
Her Mother – Margaret Pearson of Fifty Six, Arkansas
Her Son – Levi K. Pearson of Jonesboro, IL
Her Maternal Grandmother – Pearl Ratliff of Fifty Six, Arkansas
Her Paternal Grandmother – Ferna Pearson of West Frankfort, IL
2 Brothers – Larry Pearson of Wisconsin
Ivan “Hambone” Pearson of Illinois
3 Sisters - Theresa Pearson of Mountain View, Arkansas
Debbie Pearson of Butte, Montana
Marie Maynard of Cutler, IL
Her Fiance - Ryan Sims of Jonesboro, along with Ryan’s Daughter, Sally Sims, and
his Mother, Sue Sims of Anna, IL
Nieces, Nephews, other relatives, & many dear friends.
Katrina was preceded in death by:
Her Father – Robert C. Pearson
Her Maternal Grandfather – Shelby Ratliff
Her Paternal Grandfather – Tom Pearson
Katrina was a 1992 graduate of Vienna High School. She was employed for 10 years as a service manager at Marion Toyota, later working at Cape Toyota, and for approx. 2 years at Royal Oaks in Paducah, KY. Since May 2008, Katrina has been employed as a service manager at Black Diamond Harley Davidson in Marion, IL.
Katrina loved sports and the outdoors. She enjoyed camping, horseback riding, 4-wheeler riding, baseball, and NASCAR. Katrina loved sky diving and was a member of the SEMO Sky Diving Club. She also enjoyed playing pool and was a member of the pool league at Nuthin’ Fancy in Vienna.
Katrina was a member of the Protestant faith.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon, August 8, 2008, at 4 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Rev. Jeff Van Cleve will officiate.
Burial will be in the Tower Heights Cemetery at West Frankfort, IL.
Friends may call after 5 PM Thursday at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
