There are only two words to describe this weekend at the DZ – WOO HOO!!!
We started off the weekend full force! Saturday morning we had 5 brave tandems show up ready for action. These guys (and gal!) were a ton of fun – and really got the DZ moving for the day.
Along with them they brought Chris, an AFF student from a couple weeks back, who knocked out two more AFF jumps! Alright Chris!
Load two came to a bright pink end when Mark Cook found him self wound up under one of those itty bitty canopies and had to ride a NEON pink reserve in for landing. Of course he CONVENIENTLY forgot to take pictures so I have none for the update… HUGE thanks the Theresa for flying over head and giving us perfect directions to Mark’s free bag – like I said – without your help some farmer would probably be making it into a funky looking plant hanger right now!
Cory Meade was also out to make some AFF jumps this weekend – he’s quickly on his way from packer to skydiver!
Speaking of packers – Don’t forget Marcus is back from NJ and ready for action. If you need a reserve repacked or your hands are too cold to even think about closing your container – Marcus is your man! Take advantage of his time now before he’s running around like a chicken with his head cut off this Spring!
Deanna FINALLY got to make her 100th jump – Way to go Deanna!!! Word has it she falls like a rock – out of at least a dozen jumpers only Mark, Baglock and Joe made it in for the dock. Congrats girl – you show those boys just what a good arch does for a girl!
The day didn’t stop for us at sundown! Shortly after the last load (Beech load that is – we had count them FIVE full Beech loads this weekend) 10 of us headed over to the Super 8 Motel in Troy for water training. We ended up with a handful of skydiver spectators and provided entertainment for a good group of people staying in the hotel that night! THANK YOU to S&TA John Wall for making the event such a success!
Thank you guys for another fantastic weekend – what an amazing group we have! Thanks to Mark Cook as always the photos and to everyone for coming out to play. See you guys in a couple weeks!
